Minimum Equipment List (MEL): means the equipment item list compiled by the operator based on MMEL and taking into account the aircraft configuration, operation procedures and conditions for its own operation. After MEL is approved by CAAC, the aircraft is permitted to continue operation in the given conditions while the listed equipment items are inoperative. MEL shall comply with the MMEL limitation of the corresponding aircraft type, or even be more strictly than that.
